The Immediate DB4E antenna is a type of antenna that is passive. Unlike other types of antennas, the Direct DB4E antenna doesn’t require any sort of wire or any type of cable to be run from the source of power (the house) into the desired direction. This means that you don’t need to place your antenna or as in the case of a battery operated antenna, have to run a extension cord from a wall socket to your desired location.
So what makes the Direct DB4E antenna different? Well, it uses two different types of antennas to provide coverage .
The first type of antenna is the equivalent of a dipole, or a pair of dipoles for short. What this does is it places the outer portion of the antenna in a"Dipole configuration" or configuration that will have one side of the antenna pointing down and another at a high angle. You just set the angle to use the DB4E for ranges, and all you have to do is point the antenna. The antenna is regarded as an omni-directional antenna, because both ends are angled.
The second type of antenna is a half-wave monopole. What this does is it places the center portion of the antenna in a Dipole configuration. In effect, this placement will set the middle of the antenna at a distance from the earth’s surface that will be equal to twice the distance between 2 points on the surface of the earth.
Both of these antennas are effective in terms of getting and transmitting signals in addition, and, in their best possible frequencies, in being lightweight and very compact, so they can be put in the spaces. The configuration options are able to cover almost all of the available frequencies.
The antennas were designed to meet specific needs for different locations. As such, the receivers are optimized for the direct reception of moderate and low range signals, while the transmitters are optimized for the transmission of a frequency signal. Including; the uses of the DB4E are for medium range and long range reception.
When you’re looking to purchase an immediate DB4E antenna, then you should compare versions. Although it is true that not all of them are equal, it also doesn’t hurt to purchase an antenna with the specifications that you want.
